“Stop making me learn new things!” Yeah, that’s the problem. Those who refuse to learn or grow, they stagnate and fester. They can’t drain the swamp; they ARE the swamp.
I’m a bit behind… Who is the blue cloud? Is that supposed to be a parody of liberals, or some kind of god-like voice? And what does the (other) A stand for in AA?
I’m guessing the cloud is something more along the lines of libertarian values? Strict constitutionalism? The republican party before Karl Frankenstein Rove sewed on political value body parts to create a monster?
Not that I agree with any of it (government should be small, decentralized, and stay out of people’s personal lives and wallets), but at least that narrative makes some logical sense.
That’s the irritating thing about these sparkly clouds; it’s ALWAYS a one way street. Sludge monster needs acceptance! Sludge monster needs understanding! Sludge monster needs to hear what it wants to hear! Sludge monster needs a big hug! Not a word about what *anyone else* needs.
Oh my…it’s the news media and it’s roughly 500,000 articles about rural white Americans regretting voting for Trump, isn’t it? That would be so fitting…
I love the base’s response to AA being asexual

yuuup
I guess that’s why The Base being a muck monster seems so fitting to me.
I forget, was AA’s power ever revealed?
No, her totally interesting power that I completely have thought of already hasn’t yet been revealed.
Ah, so I get to guess!
My guess is… she can Attract Avocados. She has the power to conjure guacamole at will!
What an amazing power that would be. That is the top superhero power I’ve ever wanted.
I’m suddenly reminded of a thing I saw on Tumblr – “Maybe we should put avocado on racism, then white people might notice it.”
If she teams up with a sidekick called Tortilla Teen, they would be nigh-unstoppable.
Come to think of it, I don’t think Dynamo’s power has ever been revealed yet, either. I’ve been looking forward to seeing that one.

For the origin of the blue cloud, start reading here: http://www.gynostar.com/archives/comic/no-duh-sherlock
Although you may want to go back a few strips further for more context.
AA stands for her name, Annie Ang – http://www.gynostar.com/archives/comic/dont-be-ang-ry-with-me

Thanks for all you do,
Kate
Thanks so much, Kate! It means a lot to me, and it’s so helpful.
Apparently the sparkly cloud hasn’t learned sarcasm yet.
Not that I can usually tell when people are being sarcastic, but AA’s statement seems totally sarcastic.
Yay! More rainbow representation!

I feel for ya,Angela. DX The sparkly cloud is so annoying.
