Eh. Even at his worst, he’s not proposing banning people from countries based on religion, or sanctioning torture, so he’s far from as bad as Trump et al, still less the likes of the Rise of Kings guy.
Yeah, I love it how the “make America great again” crowd seems to think that the “good old days” of bigotry, misogyny, and a nearly medieval level of ignorance somehow represent “greatness”.
Meanwhile, here in the modern reality, the levels of education and human lifespans are actually way up, while the levels of violent crime and infant mortality are way down from what they were in “the good old days.”
“The base” has been sorely misinformed about these facts by a particular segment of the media whose news channel name rhymes with “lox”. They think they need to “take the country back” from the very kind of diversity that this country was founded upon and the kind of equality that is enshrined in our Constitution (well, at least post-amendments, that is). I can’t/don’t want to imagine the dystopia they would create if they actually got their ways.
Well, the “kind of diversity this country was founded on” that you hearken back to was more like a series of immigrants all facing the same bigotry for their nation of origin and/or religious beliefs and/or skin color. Those who were not ripped from their homes and families and forced into slavery, that is. Yeah, the good old days of being founded on diversity… Yeah…
It seems that you have your own brand of false nostalgia towards the past that you are ascribing to the Fox news crowd.
I never said that all members of the diverse group that built the US were treated fairly or necessarily came here willingly, I merely acknowledged their important contributions to building it. There are those would rather forget or ignore their contributions, not just of the black slaves, but of the native Americans, the Asians, the Jews, and, heck even the Irish were once deemed undesirable foreigners. But the fact is that they all contributed, and continue to contribute, to building the US.
Any insults of “false nostalgia” are all in your head. I harbor no nostalgia for those times, I merely recognize and appreciate the contributions of ALL groups.
I hear little gingerbread terrorists are delicious. Oh, wait. That’s a baked terrorist sale… which brings up an image of a verrrry relaxed terrorist selling their bombs and guns in a yard sale for pizza money.
It’s Trump on one of his nicer days.
On the plus side, now that he’s out of the running, Trump will enter hibernation until he’s got more shit to pawn off to the public.
Don’t worry people it is all a big misunderstanding. This takes place at a clothing design school and the door sign has a typo. It is actually the MUSLIN student union and they are just trying to fund the next fashion show.
Cute. But it is a problem when you don’t know what it’s completely made of or how it will react to your powers. As in,would Gynostar’s powers do diddly? Will fire do a damn thing? Mostly how will they fight this without getting harmed or anything like that.
For something that calls itself The Base, it is very unstable. That goo would make a terrible foundation for a building, it won’t be able to support anything. I will definitely won’t want my house built ground that muddy, it will sink!
It’s weird and pissed off, whatever the hell it is!
Wait, it’s not Richard Dawkins, is it?
Err… are you bringing him up because of his quote on Trump? (“Horrible though his views are, free speech is more important”?)
Although I’d imagine this may yet come down to the whole “free speech” vs “no platform” issue, Dawkins is hardly at the centre of it.
No, I bring him up because of the stuff he says on Twitter. He’s been going full-bore with both anti-feminist and Islamaphobia tweets.
Eh. Even at his worst, he’s not proposing banning people from countries based on religion, or sanctioning torture, so he’s far from as bad as Trump et al, still less the likes of the Rise of Kings guy.

Terrorist bake sale! 🙂
Their cupcakes are dynamite!
The chocolate sponge… is to die for!
And the yellowcake will blow you away!
I hear little gingerbread terrorists are delicious. Oh, wait. That’s a baked terrorist sale… which brings up an image of a verrrry relaxed terrorist selling their bombs and guns in a yard sale for pizza money.
Aww, it’s kind of cute, really.
Obviously it must be stopped, but awww.
I’m starting to wonder if there’s a keyword I keep using that puts my comments into moderations. Do I just hit the comma limit?
I can’t figure it out. Sorry about that.
It’s Trump on one of his nicer days.
On the plus side, now that he’s out of the running, Trump will enter hibernation until he’s got more shit to pawn off to the public.
You really think Trump’s ego is going to let him throw in the towel at this point?
It can’t be Trump. No hideous toupee.
Don’t worry people it is all a big misunderstanding. This takes place at a clothing design school and the door sign has a typo. It is actually the MUSLIN student union and they are just trying to fund the next fashion show.
So, a little lemon juice or vinegar should clear him up, yes?
You know what I just realized? Is Gynostar or any of her group going to be able to touch that thing without getting I’ll or worse?
You mean this is a problem that cannot be solved by punching it? OH NOES! What will our intrepid superheroes do?
Cute. But it is a problem when you don’t know what it’s completely made of or how it will react to your powers. As in,would Gynostar’s powers do diddly? Will fire do a damn thing? Mostly how will they fight this without getting harmed or anything like that.
Interesting that Al Qaeda is Arabic for The Base…

PS
Terrorist bake sale, lol!
