How about a “Nice Revealing Archetype”?
In my limited experience, snits like that tend to cry “free speech” or accuse one of being the PC Police before they deny making sexist (or racist) statements.
Or claim that bleeps can’t take complements.
Or they say, “I was just joking, don’t you have a sense of humor? You take yourself too seriously!”
The Just Joking Justification, a favorite old standby of bullies everywhere.
The “just a joke” excuse is very popular amongst the amateur snit, but the professional snit, the one whose TV show/radio program/weblog depends on consistently being a snit, seems to favor the free speech excuse. Probably because repeatedly “backing down” (as their snit audience would see it) would gain them less credibility than being seen to be fighting the good fight. Nothing gains an audience of snits faster than being seen to be the oppressed minority.
I think she may be an expy of Heather Heyer.
Isn’t that how modern sexism works, though? Just flat out endlessly deny the truth and never, ever change a single belief? That’s pretty much everything Gamergate has ever done.
