What are the sorority sisters holding?
They’re sorority paddles. Wooden paddles with the Greek letters of your sorority house on them. It’s a thing they do. I don’t actually know why.
Methinks it goes back to when they used them on pledges. Or was that the fraternities?
“Alumni” is already the plural of “alumnus.” No need to re-pluralize it.
“Alumnae” is the plural of “alumna.”
