Well, if you overlook the fact that she’s joking, the point is that Gynostar is not hitting Stay-at-Home-Mommy because of what she’s saying at all. She’s punching her in order to disable the mind-control rays. Somehow.
I hope this doesn’t turn into one of those stories where the villain is the smart one and makes all the interesting decisions, while the hero just flies in and smashes everything she built. I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with them, but there have been enough.
Hey, let me exercise my freedom of speech by saying the following: This comic is really great! Just like Gyno-Star with Stay-at-Home-Mommy, I disagree with a lot of what President Obama does… but I never let it get to me on an emotional level.
There has been something bothering me about Stay-At-Home Mommy’s attitude. She believes that women should be passive and let men handle the hard work. But she’s instigated this plan to use mind control on women, built this satellite and wielded her might on others…all this without a man in sight. How does she square that with letting men rule, dominate and wield power while women tend to nothing but housework?
As I understand it, SaHM is so extremely annoying that her marriage went awry (I don’t want to imagine what happened to the poor guy, although maybe he deserves it somehow because of his life choices) and even her kids don’t want to hear from her (I wouldn’t either – actually my mum is a bit like her and our relationship is quite sour to put it mildly). That’s her tragedy as supervillainess.
Also probably Rebecca wants GS’ nemesis to be a woman (there was at least one male supervillain in the past but we haven’t heard from him in a while – I don’t recall well) and I would imagine she’s been inspired by people of kind of Sarah Palin and such. Hopefully she’ll explain herself, I’m just guessing.
I tend to find that such inconsistencies are indicative in a fundamentally flawed ideology. Either that or rampant hypocrisy, which can also be such an indicator, though it’s usually just a sign that you’re dealing with a human.
“I respect your right to TRY and speak with a shattered jaw. Seriously, anyone willing to experience that amount of agony for each word they try to form is brave as shit!”
Respectfully and inclusively beating the tar out of her.
Moderate those comments!
Yay for a rational takedown.
Your hate has made you powerful…
Go smallviolence, go! Why does she expect to be respected when she does not respect anyone? C’mon!

I think what this comic has taught me is that, if you must punch him in the face over it, be sure not to break his jaw.
no practical definition of freedom fails to include the freedom to take the consequences.
And isn’t it ironic that SAHM is worried about her freedom while taking away the freedom of others?
I think it’s less irony and more SAHM trying to provoke Gynostar by pointing out apparent inconsistencies in her reasoning.
