Personally I don’t wear makeup to the office, but can’t seem to leave the house after dark without eyeliner. I should seriously consider switching to a daytime and evening mask. They’re so classy!
Be careful not to make it too complicated. Next thing you’ll want one mask to match black shoes and another one for brown. Then it starts to defeat the purpose.
I’ve just finished my Archive Trawl after being directed here by John Hazard of Frankenstein Superstar and shall keenly look forward to more adventures of Gynostar the conflicred feminist and Little Sappho, the ultra-cute profit loving Marxist 🙂
Just discovered the strip today and read all of it. Pretty sure the only way I could like it more is if the protagonist’s star had six points instead of five.
But if it was six pointed (particularly if in the same ratios as the Star of David), there’s a chance people could read into it all kinds of unwanted assumptions (particularly in reference to the politics of a certain small country on the East shore of the Mediterranean Sea), which they’re less likely to do with a five pointed star (unless in the form of a pentagram…)
What about the gloves? Why does she wear those? (Not complaining here. That’s the only reason why I started reading this in the first place. And I’ve been positively surprised by a very enjoyable comic that raises relevant issues I care about.)
It’s nice to be a man.
Where’s my gravatar!?
Looks like it’s working now…

The only problem with masks is peripheral vision. So glad I have contacts now instead of glasses. I was missing on 22% of my life!
That’s a very good idea. It’s like a hat for your face! Genius.

Awesome! More adventures to come…
just read through the archives, thanks for fun comic-y goodness
Thank YOU for reading and I’m glad you’re enjoying it.

I’m so glad you like it. As for the star, Gyno-Star gave up her Crips affiliation years ago. I assume that’s what you were referring to.
Actually I was referring to wanting it to be a Star of David.

Plus you wouldn’t want her to be mistaken for this character: http://www.adherents.com/lit/comics/img/s/Sabra.jpg
So, yeah. Mask might not be such a bad idea.

Purely a fashion thing.
Ditch the makeup, GS. A pointless expense, and it’s impossible to take you seriously as it is.
