No, what she’s saying is that she wants women to have a choice in what they do…but then again, trust a male reporter to ignore that and pose an either/or.
I know. A lot of women in the media hide the fact that they’re very well educated. After all, Gretchen Carlson has her degree from Stanford and studied at Oxford while there, but does a lot of this twisting and hides the fact that she knows what these people are saying.
It’s aggravating working in the news business these days.
If not passing judgment on women’s personal lives has not become a ‘thing’ it should be. Or at least people like him should stay out of them. Plus, I’m guessing he thinks things should be one way or the other so he won’t be confused. He seems to be the type to follow the latest “thing”
It’s the media…there was once a goof with the closed caption where they were talking about people ejaculating at a fire. I would say it’s about normal for them.
And now is when the reporter starts buzzing wildly, eyes rolling till they go blank, hair gets spiky and smoky and ka-boom: brain explodes leaving everything bloody and dirty with “sesos”.
Then Stayathomemum (spelling?) arrives flying on a vacuum cleaner (sorta witch she is, right?) and tries to clean all the mess and good fight and pun ensues.
To me, equality is about freedom. I mean, my hubby has stated before that when we have kids he wants to stay home and take care of them, and if we can afford it, we’ll do it. If he was a lady, and wanted to make the same choice, more power to him. Of course, I’m quite the career girl and would probably go stir crazy, so that definitely wouldn’t be my choice. But the whole point of feminism, to me, is having the equal opportunity to make choices. Male or female.
To be honest, I think my soon-to-be-husband would make a better parent than me anyway. 😛 He’s infinitely more patient and has a love of childish nonsense, but doesn’t put up with bullshit, lying, or dickishness.
I also always thought it was funny that my dad was more “housewife” than my mom, too, by far. I swear he almost enjoys cleaning. He also LOVES kids, which is why he’s had a total of five. If his culture had been okay with stay-at-home-dads, he’d have jumped at the chance. 🙂
I know I am over a year late with my response, but this topic really resonates with me! My wife and I both have jobs, but for a while, I was strongly doubting whether or not I could find a job at which I could succeed. We considered the future possibility of me being a devoted house-husband, and I loved the idea, but my wife was not making enough money at the time to support us.
Thankfully, though, I did manage to find a good job in the mean time, and we are both doing well. Even so, I love the idea of having the OPTION of becoming a homemaker, and as it is, I spend a good portion of my evenings cleaning, anyway! Absolutely right, it is about freedom. The right path is the one that fulfills you and works for those involved! 🙂
Being a stay-at-home mother IS a career. No, make that several careers in one. She’s a cook, chaffeur, caretaker, cleaner, laundress, seamstress, patrol officer, referee, judge, jury, etc., all rolled into one. The difference is she doesn’t get paid money for it.

Of course, a lot of women reporters do that too.
Sometimes the women are even worse.

Because it’s more business than news nowadays.
hahaha Crossballs
Sometimes I like to go highbrow like that.

It’s the nature of the TV “news” media. Fake controversy sells, and nothing is as controversial as the choices women make.
Or nothing is as fake a controversy, I guess you could say? I thought we’d moved on to racism/sexuality and choice. Apparently not?
Oh, those all work too. But talking about what women are doing wrong is the old standby.
And nothing is as fake as cable news.
I’ve seen too many shows like that. I try not to watch much TV any more because of that kind of garbage.
Minor point: There’s a typo in “failed” in the last panel.
It’s the media…there was once a goof with the closed caption where they were talking about people ejaculating at a fire. I would say it’s about normal for them.
Fixed that typo. Thanks for the heads-up!
Does…does he have red eyes at the end? Whatever color they are, they look evil…I don’t trust them.
They’re light brown. I think he’s just a little cross-eyed from the shock.
that reporter is losing control of himself you can see he is getting angrier as this interview lingers
she should have gone on the daily show.
Sure, but then she’d be preaching to the choir. Gyno-Star likes a challenge, I guess.

Am I even close?
Hahaha… Not exactly, but you made me laugh.
The guy seemed so perxplex (“is that even a thing?”) that I could not imagine otherwise.
Me gusta.

Is this Faux…, er…, I mean, Fox News?
“Crossballs” is probably the single funniest word in your entire comic. XD
